This year the vernal equinox, the spring equinox or simply March equinox, started on 19th March. The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north. This happens on March 19, 20 or 21 every year.

But enough with the “interesting” facts. All around the world spring is celebrated with festivals and holidays. In the Northern Hemisphere spring is a time of rebirth, of change (in the colours of mother nature, in your wardrobe colours too 😉 ). Personally, I see spring as the starting point to think in the warmer and longer days to come. I was born in spring and I cherish this season of the year as my favourite one. I’ll leave you here with some spring quotes to pass on this feeling:

No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. ~Proverb

Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!”  ~Robin Williams

April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go. ~Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

Every spring is the only spring — a perpetual astonishment. ~Ellis Peters

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. ~Charles Dickens, Great Expectations

Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. ~Rainer Maria Rilke
