It is April Fool’s Day! Don’t be fooled by your mates today!

April Fool’s Day is celebrated annually on the 1st of April.  It isn’t a public holiday but just a day for fun.  People celebrate by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes.  Some magazines, newspapers and other published media report fake stories which are then usually explained the next day or at the end of the page.

April Fool’s Day, also known as “All Fool’s Day” is celebrated in many countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Italy, France, Canada, etc. and is the equivalent of the “Day of the Holy Innocents” which is celebrated here in Spain on the 28th December.
